    August 8 Declared A Public Holiday, CS Matiang’i

    Fred Matiang’i , acting CS for Interior Security on Wednesday declared August 8 a public Holiday through a gazette notice.

    Speaking at Jogoo House, the CS noted that Wednesday will be a working day as it will be business as usual.

    The Public holiday he says will allow for everyone to go and vote.

    The Gazette notice he says ‘is in accordance to the constitution that stipulates that the the day in the year that a general election will be held shall be a public holiday.’
