Auntie Boss Show Ends Nyce Wanjeri’s Contract As Shiro Warugongo

Auntie Boss actress, Shiro Warugongo, also known as Nyce Wanjeri has announced that her contract with the show has unfortunately come to an end after the show producers failed to renew her contract.

Nyce Wanjeri, through her character Shiro Warugongo, recently won the best actress at the at the 6th annual African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Through her social media page, she announced that tonight will be the last episode that she features in, on NTV.

“This coming Tuesday, the 18th of September, will have me on my last fresh episode of Auntie Boss on NTV, lakini repeats zitakuwa Maisha Magic bado,” her statement reads in part.

The actress acknowledges that Auntie Boss has been her home for the past 3 years and helped her fall in love with the character that brought her fame.

“Now, for 15 seasons, that is almost 200 episodes on NTV, Auntie Boss has been my home. I have been blessed and lucky so far, but that beautiful journey that started 3 or so years ago is soon coming to an end,” she said.

Nyce says that cutting ties with the production company limits her from appearing or engaging as her character, Shiro Warugongo.

“Since I am no longer under the show and the production company that owns the show and the character Shiro, I am required to no longer appear or engage as Shiro,” she continued.

The mother of one acknowledges that she may not have control of her fans referring to her as Shiro wa Auntie Boss or Shiro Warugongo, to which she will respond, but anything she says or does will be as Nyce Wanjeri.

In her emotional statement, Nyce noted that this is the start of something new.

“I have been acting since I was in primary school, but it is Auntie Boss that made me a household name which I greatly appreciate.

But whatever has a beginning must have an end, and so this chapter of Shiro must come to an end to make way for something else, somewhere else.” .
