Legislators of the Jubilee party have called on the Inspector general to arrest Siaya Senator James Orengo for treason.They allege that the senator said that Raila Odinga should be sworn in if Uhuru Kenyatta is declared the president. Violence erupted in Gatina Primary school in Kawangware after Acting Interior CS visited the school to see if exams had started as scheduled.The youth of the area wanted the CS Fred Matiang’i to address them with regards to the security issues in the area. Several people have been injured in the Congo area of Kawangware when a crowd of people alleged to be members of the Mungiki sect carrying pangas attacked the area following differences over the presidential elections. There were retaliatory attacks after the said youth were seen to be looting the shops  and set a supermarket ablaze in Kawangware.
