A three judge bench consisting of Justice William Ouko, Wanjoru Karanja and Jamila Mohamed have dismissed an appeal by Wambua Musyoki to have his daughters confession admitted as evidence in his appeal. Police have impounded expired rice in Kariobangi from Kimende stores. The rice which had earlier been packaged as ‘Amar’ and ‘Day to Day’ was repackaged to ‘Red Rose’ and ‘Peacock Parboil Five Star’. The rice was discovered after an impromptu search by the polce at a godown that operates as Kimende stores. Ousted Sudan President Omar Al Bashir has been charged with involvement in the killing of anti government protesters. The office of the prosecutor general said that the former president and others had been charged with incitement and participating in the killing of the protesters. The rights group Physicians for Human Rights has estimated that Sudanese security forces killed more than 60 people during a failed crackdown on the protests. Police in Lamu have arrested their colleague suspected to have sexually assaulted a woman in her house while drunk. Police in Kasarani have intercepted a fuel tanker frying bhang worth Sh8 million suspected to have originated from Ethiopia. DCI officers also said that the registration number on the fuel tanker was also fake. The former Independent Policing Oversight Authority chairman Machariah Njeru trounced Professor Tom Ojienda to clinch the seat of the Law Society of Kenya male representative to the Judicial Service Commission. The office of the Directorate of public prosecutions (DPP) has dropped the charged of the Moroccan company and its directors for allegedly importing fertilizer laced with mercury. The DPP and the lawyer representing the company Paul Muite entered into a plea agreement that was adopted by the court.
