The tussle for Migingo Island in Lake Victoria took a new turn after Ugandan Authorities  closed down the only kindergarten in the island. The closure led the fishermen who are the residents in the area to protest. The Kenya Bankers Association (KBA) has issued a new directive on cash withdrawals amounting to Ksh10 million. In the new directives someone withdrawing such an an amount will have to give a three day notice to the Branch manager before withdrawing. The person withdrawing would also have to disclose the purpose of withdrawal. If depositing the person should produce evidence of the source of the funds being deposited. Police are investigating how a house help is the alleged owner of cigarette shipment facing tax evasion amounting to Sh 630 million that was impounded by the Kenya Revenue Authority in their continued crackdown for counterfeit goods.
