Police have arrested two people who have been robbing customers at the Thika Road Mall and the Garden City Mall especially those withdrawing money at ATMs. Rebecca Kinuthia Waruguru and Stephen Otieno Orupto were arrested on Friday morning at Garden City Mal. Police at the Kilimani station are being probed for releasing Malik Heights arson suspect Abdirazak Yussuf Adow. The suspect allegedly presented himself at the Kilimani police station but the police officer asked him to leave the station and return on Thursday. The management of Viraj apartments have given notice to tenants that they will begin transacting with only new notes and will not be accepting the new notes. They said that the notice was operational with immediate effect. This notice comes just days after the President and the Central Bank Governor unveiled the new notes on Madaraka day. The Norwegian police have arrested two Swedish Nationals transporting the phamarceutical drug tramadol. The two were in a flight from Kenya. The had two huge suitcases each. The young men told the police that they were just clothes, but after a thorough search, authorities found 184,000 tablets with the drug tramadol. High court Judge James Makau has allowed the application by film director Wanuri Kahiu to air the film Rafiki in court. The Kenya film and Classification board had argued that allowing the display of the film in court would delay the conclusion of the case. The office of immigration has opened four new immigration centers for issuance of E- passports in Nakuru, Kisii, Eldoret and Embu to ease congestion at the Nyayo house headquarters in Nairobi. “The four local centres are now operational, but will be officially be launched next week by the Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i.
