A Kenyan man is cooling his heels at a police station in Lowell, Massachusetts, following a prostitution sting operation. Kelly Warui, 22, was one of eight people arrested following a police raid in response to community complaints about prostitution in certain parts of the area. The Lowell Sun reports that police launched a “prostitution sweep” that resulted in the arrest of four males and four women. A Kibera court has charged a businessman for sexually assaulting a lady shortly after she sent him an obscene video. Benard Ndung’u Ngumbi was arrested and arraigned before Kibera senior principal magistrate Phillip Mutua on Monday. He entered a not guilty plea. Party officials want Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to reconsider his decision to run for president. The decision was made during a delegates meeting on Monday in Stoni Athi, Machakos County. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has received signatures from voters who support Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential campaign. A woman is in anguish after she lost her son under mysterious circumstances in the United Kingdom (UK). Annie Njoroge had lived in the foreign country for at least 20 years until recently when she had to return to Kenya to lay her son, Gabriel Kariuki, to rest. Speaking to the Standard, Ms Njoroge said her 26-year-old son, a quantity surveyor, loved life and was charitable. A police officer who committed suicide was cremated at a private ceremony in the city, prompting calls from colleagues to confront the growing trend in the force. In the early hours of Saturday morning, eight persons were confirmed dead in a horrific accident in Maai Mahiu along the Nairobi-Narok road. The grisly accident occurred following a head-on collision between a bus and lorry.
