Nyeri deputy governor Dr Caroline Karugu did not show up for vetting by members of parliament for the ambassador to Denmark position. Dr Karugu was among 22 new envoys appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta on April 22. A family of a Kenyan woman living in the United States is looking for their kin who was last seen in February. The family of Irene Gakwa says she vanished from Gillette, Wyoming State. They believe her boyfriend at the time had something to do with her disappearance. The suspect, Nathan Nightman, was charged with various felonies after reportedly using Ms Gakwas credit cards several times after she went missing. On Tuesday, a Kirinyaga County ward representative was charged with defrauding the Kenya Ports Authority of $76,347.35 an equivalent of Sh8.8 million. A man killed in broad daylight on Monday at Mirema Drive, off Thika Road has been identified as Samuel Mugota. Mugota is a 40-year-old father of three who resides in Kasarani. The whereabouts of a college student allegedly involved in money laundering are still unknown after she failed to appear in court on Monday. Felista Nyamathira Njoroge is accused of laundering money for her Belgian boyfriend. The Asset Recovery Agency (ARA) is in court seeking to have the student forfeit Sh108 million for being proceeds of crime. Residents of Mirema Drive, Roysambu Constituency on Monday witnessed a murder most-foul at around 4pm. Yesterday, a man identified as Njoro or Berno was fatally shot shortly after dropping off his daughter from school. A man dragged his former employer to court four years ago in hope of winning a wrongful termination case. Joel Tipapa Nolpoor sued St. Bakhita Girls Rescue Home through Kenya Union of Domestic, Hotels Educational Institutions and Hospital Workers back in 2019. Jean-Paul Carl Malgas, 39, invaded Somerset Hospital last Saturday, disarmed and shot a police officer before killing two patients. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) wants a former Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) supervisor to surrender property worth Sh278 million to the government, alleging that he obtained it through kickbacks. Jeremiah Kamau Kinyua, who resigned from KRA in March last year, amassed the wealth through underhanded means over a seven-year period during which his net income was Sh11.6 million.
