Beverly Mumo Musyoki was then said to have died due to “powers of darkness” but homicide detectives have since established that the minor was killed by her father and stepmother. Police in Elgeyo Marakwet county are probing the death of an MCA candidate who was discovered unconscious along the Eldoret-Malaba route in the early hours of Saturday morning. Mark Bowen, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate for Sambirir ward, was rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) Eldoret, where he died. The Employment and Labour Relations Court has awarded a former Nairobi Hospital employee Sh1.3 million compensation for unlawful dismissal. The health facility is said to have fired its acting head of procurement and stores department, Anne Karoki, over a security cameras tender allegedly issued to the wrong bidder. Justice Mathews Nduma found that the facility sacked Ms Karoki without a hearing. Multi-billion shilling Nairobi Expressway will be operational from May 14, President Uhuru Kenyatta has said. Police have ordered a repeat autopsy on the remains of nominated MP David Sankok’s son, Memusi Sankok. The initial report showed that the minor died as a result of a bullet wound through the chin exiting at the top of his head. But homicide detectives have expressed doubts in the first report. The family of Mr Abubakar Aboudis claimed ownership of the grave where their kin was laid to rest some seven years ago.
