Four suspects have been arrested following a spate of abductions reported in the last one week, targeting travelers along the Thika Superhighway. The suspects who have been identified as; Josephine Njambi, Nicholas Mungai, Joel Kinyanjui and Edwin Njuguna, were nabbed in a dramatic fashion in Kahawa Wendani. A US-based agency that was entrusted with compensating victims of the 1998 Nairobi terror attack has sued a lady who reportedly refused to refund millions of shillings she received in error. Investigators are pursuing a former ward administrator in Kisii County over more than Sh3 million in salary and allowances. According to the investigators, Evans Nyaoka Rambeka also lacked the requisite academic qualifications for the position. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) wants the High Court to order Rambeka to return the money he earned over the course of three years on the basis of forged academic certificates. Kenya has freed 139 Ethiopians who were detained for unlawfully entering the country. The Ethiopians were released from six separate jails across Nairobi, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Kenya, Meles Alem has said.
