Human rights lawyer Harun Ndubi was on Monday charged with careless driving and failing to obey verbal directives given by a police officer by declining to blow into a breathalyzer. Appearing before Magistrate Elector Riany, the advocate denied all the charges and was released on a Sh80,000 cash bail. A woman who went missing on Tuesday last week while on her way to the hospital has been found dead at the City Mortuary. Mildred Odira worked at a company based at the Nation Centre, Foresight Company as a switchboard operator. NTSA Police nabbed bhang worth Ksh3 million in Emali, Makueni County after a wild chase with the drivers of the vehicle transporting the narcotics. Kental Entreprises, owners of Ukay Centre that was previously located in Westlands and demolished in August are suing the government for Ksh2.3 billion in damages. The building owners insist that they followed the right channels to acquire approval for their building plans from the Nairobi City Council. Fifteen Kenyan fishermen were arrested on Thursday in the waters of Lake Victoria and detained in Sota Police Station, Tanzania for allegedly trespassing into the water borders of Tanzania. The fishermen from Remba Island in Suba North, Homa Bay County had their fishing gears confiscated and their catch, worth millions of shillings taken away. Three people connected to the Dusit D2 attack have been freed by a Nyeri court after the police withdrew case for lack of evidence. The three; Abdul Kibiringi, James Mwai Mwangi and Habiba Gedi Hunshur were arrested last week on Friday and appeared in court on Monday.
