An explosion has been reported at the Odeon Cinema located in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD). Reports indicate that an Improvised Explosive Device was detonated by a suspected terrorist near Odeon. The suspected terrorist is said to have pretended to have left behind their Identity Card when they detonated the IED injuring two people; trolley pusher and a newspaper vendor. Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru has admitted to seeing suspicious people at the Dusit D2 Hotel. five days before the attack. Kenyan born Australian senator Lucy Gichuhi has detailed her journey from a small time girl to a legislator in a foreign country in her new book titled “Behind The Smile: From the Slopes of Mount Kenya to Commonwealth Parliament of Australia”.
