Deputy President William Ruto’s allies have vowed to oust Jubilee party’s vice-chairperson, David Murathe after his remarks on 2022 elections. The Uganda police bus that went missing on Sunday has been found in Mityana village and the driver, Geoffrey Mwase has been arrested. According to the deputy police spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, the vehicle was impounded in Mityana village where the driver had reportedly taken it without authorization to go and brag in the village. “The driver had just driven it to the village to enjoy Christmas with it and show off to village mates,” he said. President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto attended the Kimalel Cultural Fair and Goat action held in Baringo county on Saturday. The goats were selling for prices between Ksh10,000 and Ksh20,000. Between them, the president and his deputy splurged a total of KSh10 million on goats. The event which attracts various leaders from the region, saw over 2500 goats sold and a total of KSh25 million collected from the auction. CS Amina Mohammed has countered her previous statements saying that the new curriculum roll out will continue as initially planned for 2019 and not 2020. Tanzania’s music and arts board, Baraza la Sanaa Tanzania (Basata) has maintained that they have not cleared Diamond and Rayvanny to perform again. Ugandan government has announced that it will be teaching Chinese language as a subject in schools due to the growing relationship between China and Uganda. The Presidency Minister Esther Mbayo announced that they have chosen 35 schools which will roll out the subject, prepared teaching materials and are set to begin come next year. “We have received materials such as textbooks and illustrations. We have also received some tutors from the Chinese government,” she said.
