A woman on Tuesday lost her life at Roysambu MP Ndirangu Waihenya’s office as she sought bursary for her daughter. Four others sustained serious injuries in the stampede. The deceased succumbed to her injuries as soon as she reached Ridgeways Hospital while the injured were rushed to Neema Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital. Former Kilifi deputy governor Kennedy Kamto was on Tuesday night shot dead as he entered his Nyali home. His body has been taken to Coast General Hospital mortuary, Kwale Senator Issa Boy has said. Confirming the incident was Mombasa County Commissioner Evans Achoki who remained cagey about the details. He did however mention that investigations are ongoing. High Court has approved the demolition of the Grand Manor Hotel in Gigiri owned by tycoon, Praful Kumar. The hotel, the court ruled, poses a threat to the adjacent United Nations offices. Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed has announced that the Ministry is not yet ready to roll out the new curriculum come 2019.
