Kenya will be spending Sh400 million to send members of parliament, senate and parliamentary staffers for the parliamentary games in Burundi, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has said. Police Officers attached to West Pokot Governor, John Lonyangapuo have been withdrawn following a incident where he removed a police road-block and freed a boda boda rider. Officers guarding his home have also been withdrawn. On Wednesday, the county boss stormed a road block on the Kitale-Lodwar highway. According to him, officers use them to harass motorists. Flying Squad Detectives on Thursday evening arrested Police Constable Elias Shikuku, attached to Pokot South DCI offices. Two suspects, Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero, accused alongside Migori Governor Okoth Obado have appealed the bail ruling made by Justice Jessie Lessit. Through their lawyer, the suspects argue that Justice Lessit “erred and misdirected herself” when she denied them bail hence denying them their right and fundamental freedom. Thugs on Thursday broke into Homa Bay Speaker Elizabeth Ayoo’s office and sprayed it with what police believe is livestock pesticide. The unidentified people also broke furniture which she purchased on Tuesday after others were vandalized. A police officer, Daniel Erogon, attached to Nyayo Stadium stopped a vehicle he had boarded from carrying excess passengers, after he turned and realized that passengers had squeezed on the conductor’s seat. The police officer dressed in a civilian outfit had boarded the vehicle on his normal commute.
