Migori Governor Okoth Obado will spend another night at Gigiri Police Station pending ruling on application for 15 days detention as requested by the police. Police sought to hold the embattled county boss for 15 days as they investigate his illegal gun possession case. 8 guns were discovered in his Nairobi and Migori homes on Monday. Four people lost their lives on Wednesday evening after a lorry rammed into houses at Tambaya in Mukurwe-ini, Nyeri. Reports indicate that two children were killed in the incident while others were left homeless. The lorry that was ferrying ballast lost control while going down a hill. A KCSE candidate has died after collapsing in the school compound in Homa Bay county. Toddy Otieno Ouma was playing football after writing his exam at Atemo Mixed Secondary School when he suddenly collapsed. He was rushed Atemo Mission Hospital for first before being taken to Matata Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Fake doctor James Mugo Ndichu alias Mugo Wa Wairimu has been arrested in Gachie, Kiambu County. The quack doctor has been apprehended by Flying Squad officers and is being taken to Pangani Police station. The “doctor” was nabbed in 2015 in Nairobi’s Zimmerman area, where he was operating a clinic by the name “Prestige Health Centre”. 41 passengers on board a Tahmeed Bus on Tuesday escaped unhurt. The bus reportedly caught fire in Manyani, Taita Taveta county. In October another Tahmeed Bus, KBN 399F was impounded by the National Transport and Service Authority (NTSA) for reckless driving.
