Migori Woman Representative, Pamela Odhiambo was airlifted to Nairobi on Sunday evening after being involved in a morning accident. The accident occurred at Winyo on Rongo-Homa Bay road at about 8 AM on Sunday, leaving one of her bodyguards, Fred Owich, dead. A man who in August filed a bankruptcy case against former presidential aspirant Cyrus Jirongo has been arrested. Brian Yongo sued the former Lugari MP for not paying back a Sh 25 million loan in full. He accused Jirongo of paying Sh5 million of the loan advanced to him between 2014-2015. Two I&M Bank employees have been arrested for stealing Sh27 million from the lender. Tom Odhiambo Adinda and Daniel Ochieng were apprehended on Friday by DCI detectives. A senior administration police officer based at Nyayo House has been accused of being behind major highway robbery incidents. Senior Superintendent John Murage has most recently been linked to a major robbery where goods were stolen along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway. The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji has ordered for the prosecution of Lugari MP Ayub Savula and his two wives Melody Gatwiri Ringera and Helen Jepkorir Kemboi for obtaining money by false pretenses from the Government Advertising Agency. The three are directors of seven companies that fraudulently received monies allocated for legitimate media houses that have provided advertising services to the government. A teacher in Njoro, Nakuru County was on Friday caught sexually assaulting a class eight pupil in the staff room. The teacher is said to have lured the pupil into the staff room early morning as others prepared for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) set to start on Tuesday.
