A postmortem report of Sharon Otieno’s death, carried out by government pathologist Johansen Oduor has revealed that she was brutally stabbed 8 times, strangled and was possibly raped by her assailants. “Sharon was stabbed three times on the neck, four times on the back and on the left side of the abdomen,” said Dr. Oduor. Slain Rongo University student, Sharon Otieno’s aunt has died. Debora Ogweno died on Friday morning after learning about what the media and politicians were saying about her niece. The deceased, the family spokesman Joshua Okong’o said, fainted and died on the spot. “I was informed early to today that Debora (sister) had died and this resulted from trauma over information about Sharon’s death. A judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya, Justice J.B Ojwang’ is being accused of encroaching his neighbor’s land in Kakrao Village, Migori County. Police have apologized to the Chinese nationals arrested on Wednesday during a raid at CGTN offices, formerly CCTV. At least 13 people were arrested in what was believed to be an operation targeting illegal immigrants without work permits. “The raid on the Chinese state-owned broadcaster was based on false information. Nairobi County Assembly members have voted to impeach county assembly speaker Beatrice Elachi. The motion raised by Waithaka MCA Antony Kiragu on Thursday, was passed by 103 members of the county assembly while 2 members voted against and 2 members abstained. The MCAs accused Elachi of gross misconduct and embarrassing the county government. “Her actions and omissions have caused embarrassment and brought the office of the speaker into disrepute, this assembly resolves to sanction,” Kiragu said. Nairobi City County wants the Shree Visa Oshwal Community Centre to be brought down as it sits on riparian land. The Attorney General and the county government have argued that the building’s approvals were obtained illegally. “That despite obtaining the approvals from the defunct city council, the same were obtained irregularly or illegally as they were issued in utter disregard of the overriding public interest in the waterway and riparian land,” reads an affidavit filed in court. The collapsed Imperial Bank’s credit manager, Peter Nzuki has recorded a statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations saying that the Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu improperly borrowed Sh12 million in October 2013. The manager said that the money obtained by the Deputy Chief Justice was given to her in inappropriate circumstances contrary to bank-customer relations. A Nigerian-run missionary school in Thika, Caritas Mariana Secondary School has been closed by education authorities over allegations of sexual abuse, indiscipline and devil worshiping. Thika Sub-County Director of Education Ronald Mbogo is said to have received an anonymous letter with the said allegations against the school.
