Ethiopia has released a Nation journalist who went missing in October 2021. The Nation correspondent Tesfa-Alem Tekle was freed on Saturday, after 77 days of detention in Addis Ababa. On Friday, a Cameroonian national was charged with possessing counterfeit dollar banknotes worth Sh283.5 million. According to the courts, Timson Babila aka Jeremy was caught in possession of 100-dollar bills worth USD 2.5 million, which were meant to look like dollar bills. A medical practitioner and two businessmen have been charged with supplying 20,000 fake face masks to Aga Khan Hospital for Sh11 million. They are accused of selling “3M” face masks without the permission of 3M Company, which owns the “3M Trade Mark No.42326” registration.
