A number of roads are set to be closed in Nairobi on Saturday due to the annual Mater Heart Run. The event will happen around the CBD and in 8 other towns concurrently: Mombasa, Machakos, Mumias, Kisumu, Nyeri, Meru, Eldoret and Nakuru. Roads will be closed in Nairobi from 7 am to 11 am. This includes City Hall way, Lang’ata Road, Uhuru Highway, Valley Road, Ngong Road and Mbagathi Way, Aerodrome and Parliament Road. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes. Primerose Mbuvi, Nairobi County Governor, Mike Sonko’s wife is a worried woman after her husband fled their Nairobi home after Interior Ministry scaled down his security detail from 26 to 5 officers.
