Lawyer Miguna Miguna will not be making his way back into the country today (Wednesday) as earlier communicated. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko ranked last in a performance report by Trends and Insights for Africa (Tifa) ranking three Kenyan cities; Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa. The Immigration Department will not allow deported lawyer, Miguna Miguna into the country on Wednesday, Immigration Principal Secretary Gordon Kihalangwa has said. In a letter responding to Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) Vice Chairperson George Morara, Kihalangwa says that Miguna is yet to apply for a fresh Kenyan passport through the right channels. “Without any prejudice, we reiterate that Miguna has to regain his Kenyan citizenship before being issued with a Kenyan passport,” the letter dated 10 May reads in part.
