Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has been arrested at the Milimani Law Courts after the mention of his defamation case against by Interior CS Fred Matiang’i. Nyakundi also known as the ‘boy child president’ was supposed to attend to other four cases in Kiambu before being apprehended by at least 5 CID officers over unmentioned posts. Rarieda MP, Otiende Amollo on Saturday collapsed at a function in Alego, Siaya County. The lawmaker was attending the burial of the son of former MP Oloo Aringo when he collapsed in his chair. A Wildlife photographer, Clement Kiragu was exempted from participating in this year’s National Geographic’s (NatGeo) Travel Photographer of the Year Competition because he is Kenyan. “So apparently I can’t enter a NatGeo photo contest because I’m a Kenyan citizen. The police on Friday shot and killed a 17 year old boy, Arnold Okong’o alias Randy in Jericho. Randy, son to Jericho All Stars’ FC coach, Thomas Okong’o, was mistaken for one of the most wanted criminals, Leone Shimoli Junior. Earlier reports indicated that Shimoli had been taken down by the police after trailing him for a while. The board of Safaricom Public Limited Company announced the resignation of John William Lorimer Otty as a director of the company with effect from 8 May, 2018. Mr Otty had served in the position for the past five years. In a statement by Company Secretary Kathryne Maundu, Mr Till Streichert has been appointed to replace Mr Otty with effect on the same date.
