Police have launched investigations into the alleged abduction of blogger and digital strategist Dennis Itumbi. Itumbi, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, was allegedly abducted by men said to be police officers on Thursday in Thindigua, Kiambu county. In a statement on Friday, National Police spokesperson Bruno Shioso said the matter was indeed reported at Thindigua Police Post vide OB Number 10/23/12/2021 at around 3.40 pm. A police officer is in custody after shooting a reveler at a nightclub in Kasarani, Nairobi. The unidentified cop is said to have quarreled with the victim before he drew his gun. Eyewitnesses say the duo argued over unknown issues before the cop shot the victim in the leg. The suspect then left the scene of incident but was traced and arrested moments later. A prison warder has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Nyeri-based businessman. The victim, Erasmus Iguku, was prior to his untimely death a renowned electronics dealer who ran several shops within Nyeri town. The deceased is said to have been strangled to death and had been whipped on the back. Dubai airline Emirates has extended its ban on Kenyan flights. The ban that was set to last 48-hours will now go on until December 24. “As per directive from Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), all air transport services with inbound and transit passenger movements to the emirate of Dubai from any point in Kenya are temporarily suspended up to and including 24th December,” the airline said on its website. “Customers will not be accepted for travel on Emirates flights at Nairobi during this time. Government Spokesperson Cyrus Oguna on Tuesday reiterated the State’s commitment to withholding services for those yet to receive their Covid-19 vaccine. The Court of Appeal on Monday settled a family feud that saw three brothers fight for the control of giant retailer Naivas. A three-judge bench comprised of Justices Roselyn Nambuye, Fatuma Sichale and Sankale ole Kantai, found that the complainant, Newton Kagiri Mukuha, has no stake in the retailer after running down all the stores inherited from his deceased father, Peter Mukuha Kago. Police in Narok North sub-county are holding a woman believed to have killed her 42-year-old roommate.
