The Nairobi county government wants its residents to make use of commuter trains in a bid to decongest the city and ease traffic. Detectives on Wednesday recovered equipment used by robbers to commit the grandest heist Kenya has ever seen at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Thika branch. The robbers made away with Sh50 million on Sunday, November 19 but the heist was discovered on Monday. They are said to have rented a stall adjacent to the bank and dug a 120 meters tunnel positioning them into the lender’s strongroom. Game Africa, a South African retail chain will be opening its second outlet in Kenya at the multi billion Karen Waterfront in 2018. The retailer will be replacing a struggling Nakumatt as the mall’s anchor tenant. Game’s first outlet in Kenya was at the Garden City Mall where it is the mall’s second major anchor tenant. The High Court on Tuesday dismissed NASA leader, Raila Odinga’s application to have Kirinyaga Governor, Anne Waiguru’s lifestyle audited. Judge Joseph Sergon threw out Odinga’s suit as he was ‘satisfied that Ms Waiguru responded to the interrogatories in accordance with the law’ even though she declined to answer some of the questions. Machakos Governor, Dr Alfred Mutua has been dealt a huge blow after his lawyers abandoned a petition filed by Wavinya Ndeti challenging his August 8 win. His lawyers, Wilfred Nyamu, Bernard Mung’ata and others withdrew from the case citing frustrations from the judge. The report was released in Nakuru, which leads in the implementation of tobacco control.
