Lugari MP Ayub Savula’s bodyguard and three others were on Wednesday night involved in a tragic accident that left two dead. The bodyguard, identified as Victor Mudidi and a 17 year old boy died on the spot. The driver and the other occupant sustained severe injuries and are said to be in critical condition. Jubilee leaders and supporters were on Wednesday attacked by a swarm of bees at a Wundanyi rally meant to drum up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta. The crowd scampered for safety but calm soon returned after Peter Mwakio, a local politician said a word of prayer. Former Youth Fund CEO, Catherine Namuye is dead. Ms Namuye’s lifeless body was found by her maid at her Kileleshwa home on Wednesday evening. The deceased’s neighbours said that they heard screams coming form her house. On getting there, she was lying on the floor with foam coming out of her mouth. Mohamed Khalisa, the organizing secretary of the Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya on Wednesday said that the National Super Alliance (NASA) Friday anti-IEBC protests were disrespectful to the Muslims. The EACC has been warned by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) against attacking the independence of the Judiciary by probing the Supreme Court Registrar, Esther Nyaiyaki. Ms Nyaiyaki has been accused of gross misconduct. Speaking at the Hot 96 morning show, the legislator alleged that the state was planning to have him sentenced to death. Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Tuesday sent on compulsory leave senior 15 county employees linked to a land grabbing cartel. Members of the Siaya County Assembly were on Tuesday held hostage by rowdy youths for rejecting nine candidates nominated by Governor Cornel Rasanga for county executive posts. The MCAs were stuck in the county assembly offices for close to 30 minutes. The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko has directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Ndegwa Muhoro to probe six Safaricom staffers and Jubilee Party’s chief agent, Davis Chirchir for allegedly having a handing in the bungled August 8 presidential election. They have camped outside Vice Chancellor Professor Peter Mbithi’s office at the main campus demanding for a refund of their school fees.
