A Nairobi court on Monday declined to set aside a four-month sentence imposed on DCI boss George Kintoi. The court on November 18 found Kinoti guilty of contempt of court for disobeying a court order requiring him to surrender firearms belonging to businessman Jimi Wanjigi. All direct flights between Rwanda and southern African countries over Omicron, the new Covid-19 variant, have been suspended temporarily. The country has also imposed a seven-day quarantine for passengers arriving in Kigali from the affected cointries. Rwanda joins the European Union, the United States, Israel, United Arab Emirates, the UK, among others, that have suspended flights to southern Africa. 89 Kenyan domestic workers died in Saudi Arabia between 2019 and 2021, a report by the National Assembly Committee on Labour and Social Welfare has revealed. Taimur Kariuki Hussein, the Kilifi resident who went missing in June this year, has returned home safely, his family has confirmed.
