William Mwangi, a Kiambu politician was on Saturday shot dead inside his car after leaving Club U-Turn at around 3 am. Mwangi was vying for MCA Lari Kirenga on a Jubilee ticket but lost in the primaries. According to the police, the engineer was shot twice in the head and on his hand. NASA principals were on Sunday walked out of Prophet Owuor’s prayer rally that was held at the Central Park. Both Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula are said to have walked out of rally after the event organizers failed to give them a chance to address the congregation. The Presidential petition at the Supreme Court started on Saturday evening with NASA’s lead counsel, James Orengo arguing that the IEBC rigged the election in favour of the 3rd respondent, Uhuru Kenyatta. In his submission, Orengo claimed that the forms 34As provided by the electoral commission were infactnot the original forms. Four bodies have been recovered in Lake Victoria by Usoma Beach residents. The bodies are said to have been in body bags used by the police during the post election protests.
