Chinese Overseas Construction and Engineering Company Project  responsible for the construction of the 1.2 Billion Sigiri bridge has taken full responsibility for the mishap. Manager Jerome Xzue Hua told the Nation they are baffled by the Monday incident. Senator Kiraitu Murungi has accused Governor Peter Munya of paying rowdy youths to heckle him during President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tour in Igembe and Tigania. Kiraitu accused the incumbent of ferrying youths to block him from campaigning in Igembe. “If you want honey you cannot fear being stung by the bees, so I will not relent in my quest to campaign in Igembe,” the senator said. Four suspected thugs were this morning shot dead in Karen after robbing a home in the posh estate in Nairobi. The four were gunned down after the police trailed them from another car theft in Kayole. According to Nairobi Police Boss, Japheth Koome , an AK47 rifle with eight bullet was recovered. The gang, according to Police, was planning to use the car to commit robbery in Karen. Machakos County first lady, Lillian Ng’ang’a Mutua could not hold back her emotions as she attended a funeral of one of her deceased security aide. The governor, Alfred Mutua and his wife on Saturday, June 24, attended the burial of AP Corporal Jacinta Nthenya Muteti in Machakos. The AP who was attached to the Office of the Governor was among four others who lost their lives in a road accident along Nairobi-Mombasa highway. A Samburu primary school teacher among the five other female teachers attacked by pupils over harassment has shared her experience. Learners of Kirimon primary attacked their teachers with rungus saying they had disrespected their culture by punishing boys in front of girls. High Court on Friday declined to suspend the ballot papers printing tender awarded to Dubai firm Al Ghurair and asked the Chief Justice to form a bench to hear the case. Justice George Odunga ruled on Friday that NASA failed to convince the court that the temporary orders were necessary. Presidential candidate Abduba Dida, has asked for 20 security guards but the police force has instead offered him two.
