A Kakamega teacher has sued her employer, the Teacher Service Commission (TSC) for instituting disciplinary proceedings against her. Carolyne Khamali Mwayuli, a teacher at St Augustine Mukumu Boys School, has claimed that she received a show-cause letter from the TSC after her son was canned by a teacher identified as Calystus Magotsi. Former Laikipia MP Matthew Lempurkel has been sentenced to one year behind bars for assaulting nominated MP Sarah Korere in 2016. A 21-year-old man is nursing grave injuries at a Nairobi hospital after a mob rained blows on him for stealing a mobile phone. A court has ordered the production of Prof Hassan Nandwa and his client ex-terror convict Elgiva Bwire before it within 24 hours. The court has also ordered telecommunications company, Safaricom, to avail Nandwa’s call logs between October 28 and November 2. Six police officers involved in the death of two brothers in Kianjokoma, Embu county have been released. Former TV girl Jacque Maribe has continuously declined to ascertain the paternity of 7-year-old son, comedian Eric Omondi has said. The owner of Jack and Jill supermarket Schon Noorani has withdrawn a petition seeking the removal from office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji. Detectives are in pursuit of a man believed to have killed his two-year-old son in Turkana. Eyenae Ekwom, 35, is said to have attacked his wife, Eblait Nangiro, when she declined to tend to their animals and instead insisted on taking their sick child to the hospital. Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Allen Gichuhi has turned down an appointment to chair the Industrial Property Tribunal. His appointment was announced by Industrialisation Cabinet Secretary Betty Maina through a gazette notice, for a three-year term starting October 6, 2021. But in a letter to the CS, Mr Gichuhi said he was unable to take up the role over a number of reasons including his unavailability. A theft suspect is nursing wounds at a city hospital following a mob attack near Kamulu Police Station. The suspect who was rescued by the officers is said to have attempted to steal a motorcycle from Morris Simiyu. The family of lawyer Hassan Nandwa who went missing on Thursday believe he is in police custody. According to Nandwa’s family, the advocate’s mobile was off on the day when armed men who identified themselves as police officers showed up to their eighth floor apartment.
