Alex Kalemaa Kiptoi, is accused of killing his elder brother Joseph Kipsingor Kiptoi, 43, with whom he fought over an apiary. A Parklands Police Station based detective accidentally shot himself while in pursuit of a suspect. Detective Luke Juma is according to DCI director George Kinoti, nursing a gunshot wound in his left leg above the knee. 11 Kanjuri High School students have been arrested after allegedly torching a dormitory on Friday night. The inferno is said to have led to the destruction of property valued at Sh800,000. The dormitory named “Jubilee” housed at least 98 students. Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has denied pocketing Sh1 million donation by Deputy President William Ruto. It is said that Dr Ruto donated the money to support the women and youth in the area by boosting their small businesses. Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga has asked current CJ Martha Koome to stop turning matters of national interest, personal. DCI detectives have busted a syndicate conning unsuspecting Kenyans of their hard-earned money through get rich quick schemes. On Wednesday, sleuths nabbed two suspects; Kevin Ombogi and his accomplice Allan Kiprono, for defrauding a Kiambu-based businessman identified as Onderi of Sh1.5 million. Mr Onderi was lured into the scheme by a Momanyi who offered him a business opportunity in the fish food supplies. Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru has deemed it unfortunate the attack on those allied to Deputy President William Ruto. This was following a report appearing on the People Daily indicating that the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) had finalized investigations into alleged financial mispropriety at the Kirinyaga county government. An American philanthropist has accused her Kenyan partner of defrauding her of a whopping Sh20 million in the name of supporting disadvantaged children. According to Avis Goodheart, Kenyan pastor Esther Wambui who runs Noah’s Boat Goodheart Children’s Home in Migori, lied about the number of orphans she supports. A Chinese woman has been arrested for faking kidnapping and demanding Sh500,000 ransom from her boyfriend. Yuan Thi Hua, 30, was traced to an apartment in Nairobi’s Parklands area where she had been hiding for four days. The family of Thomas Oyaro, a Kenyan working in the US as a nurse, wants the police to fast track investigations into his gruesome murder. Oyaro’s dismembered body was thrown out of a speeding vehicle on September 13, at Konate Junction, Nyamira County. A Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) opponent wants three judges of the Supreme Court to recuse themselves on grounds that they will not be impartial. The petitioner, Isaac Aluochier, wants Justices Mohammed Ibrahim, Smokin Wanjala and Njoki Ndung’u to step down.
