Embattled Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja has asserted that the voter demanding his exclusion from the gubernatorial election is a “hired gun” eager to humiliate him. Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja has admitted to having not completed his Actuarial Science degree at the University of Nairobi (UoN). Speaking to Spice FM’s The Situation Room on Friday, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Nairobi gubernatorial candidate said he is yet to sit for a few units. Keroche Breweries has sent 370 employees packing after the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) shut down its operations in May. The brewer sent the staff on unpaid leave after it ran out of operational funds. The mother and stepfather of a five-year-old boy who was found dead in a river two years ago, have been sentenced to life in jail. UK media reported that Logan Mwangi’s mother, Angharad Williamson, will serves at least 28 years before she is considered for parole. Three suspected thugs linked to the murder of two M-Pesa attendants at Adams Arcade a fortnight ago, are dead. Two men among them a Nigerian national have been detained in connection with the seizure of 2,500 grams of bhang at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). Detectives discovered a shipment that had originated from the US and was destined for Kenya while conducting a regular check at an airport cargo center. The drugs, worth Sh75,000, were recovered. Uganda government has launched a probe into the validity of Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja’s degree from Team University. Yet another body of a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture Technology (JKUAT) student has been discovered in her apartment in Juja, Kiambu County. Irene Monica Mwangi, 26, a fourth-year student at the school of business computing, is believed to have taken her life after failing to graduate. President Uhuru Kenyatta has been accused of surreptitiously auctioning the ports of Lamu, Mombasa, and Kisumu to foreigners. Monica Wamaitha Gitau was on Wednesday appearing on Inooro TV’s morning show as a panelist. Five family members are in custody after detectives from the anti-narcotics unit recovered cocaine worth Sh15 million recovered from them. In the first operation, the sleuths conducted a home raid in Kileleshwa estate and captured a wanted drug dealer. Police have been keeping an eye on the individual only identified as MJ, 27, after it was discovered that he was making unusual trips to and from Uganda. Police have arrested the mastermind behind a robbery incident at Prime Bank, Nakuru branch back in February. Tobias Juma Mukhuyu was apprehended on Saturday at Nashianda trading centre in Bungoma County. On Tuesday, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti was ordered to present before a succession court, the deceased’s original will. Five suspected drug traffickers are in custody after being apprehended last weekend at Sabache area along the Moyale-Isiolo highway, Samburu County.
