Tobias Juma Mukhuyu was apprehended on Saturday at Nashianda trading centre in Bungoma County. On Tuesday, the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti was ordered to present before a succession court, the deceased’s original will. This was following a request by Gabrielle’s lawyer Danstan Omari. Five suspected drug traffickers are in custody after being apprehended last weekend at Sabache area along the Moyale-Isiolo highway, Samburu County. Three suspects are being held by police in Muthara, Meru County, and some of the Sh1.3 million allegedly taken from the personal assistant of Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya recovered. The three were taken into custody after Mr Munya’s assistant filed a complaint on Thursday, confirmed Peter Karanja, the head of Tigania East police. The body of a miner has been retrieved seven months after a mine caved in, trapping him and nine others. Tom Okwach was trapped after Abimbo Gold mine in Bondo collapsed in December of last year. Okwach is the second casualty after eight of his colleagues were safely retrieved. The miners were trapped nearly 20 feet from the mining chambers entrance. On Saturday night, numerous vehicles were involved in a road collision that injured an unknown number of persons near the Nairobi Expressway Mlolongo toll booth. The vehicle exiting the expressway was speeding, according to Kenya National Highways Authority, which confirmed the accident. “The motorist crashed into the Toll Plaza and ran over other vehicles that were being cleared to exit.
