National assembly majority leader and Garissa township MP Aden Duale did not attend the Garissa Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rally. Earlier on, Duale had ruled out discussions on BBI unless the government addresses insecurity and deployment of teachers in the region. Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has finally spoken about Felix Orinda alias DJ Evolve’s Ksh7 million bill at Nairobi Hospital that has been the talk of town. Medics at Makindu Sub-County Hospital in Makueni County are reported to have fled the facility after police officers brought in five critically ill Chinese patients. The hospital was ghosted for hours, leaving the five Chinese patients, the police and a few unattended patients in the facility. “The scare was aggravated by the fact that the Chinese, who accompanied the patients, had face masks,” said a medic who spoke to the Nation. The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) has released Volume III of the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census results which reveled that the Kikuyu community is the most populous at 8.14 million people. It was followed by Luhyas at 6.82 million and Kalenjins at 6.35 million. The top three tribes make up almost half of the Kenyan population (44.7 per cent) of 47.6 million. A team of Digital Forensic Experts and Serious Crime Unit detective has arrested to hackers in an office in Ngara, Nairobi, trying to gain entry into National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) website. 31-year old Nuzrat Sharif, the proprietor of Dinm Evitaerc Limited, the company behind Simple Homes that scammed Kenyans of millions before 2017, has bee arrested by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nyali, Mombasa. Mr Leparan Gideon Morintat has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer for state-owned National Oil Corporation. Mr Morintat takes over from Mr George Kubai, who has been Acting Chief Executive Officer since October 2019, when the then CEO MaryJane Mwangi  resigned. Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) has fined Carrefour Ksh124,767 for exploiting Orchards Limited and ordered it to review all its supply agreements with other suppliers within 60 days overexploitation of suppliers.
