Real estate company Rama Homes has announced the launch of a mixed use commercial complex in Kilimani area, Nairobi. The 20-storey building will entail three and four bedroom apartments with a seven-year payment plan. Each unit will cost approximately Ksh19 million. The story in Turkana has changed from drought to flooding, at the onset of long rains which have delayed by over a month. An example is a section of Kakuma-Lokichogio road that flooded early this morning following heavy downpour, paralysing transport for hours. Britam CEO Benson Wairegi is not seated pretty after it emerged that his bosses are deliberating on showing him the door over ‘silly’ mistakes made in the past five years. We have established that Wairegi’s troubles started back in 2014, when Britam accused four of its former employees of theft of billions of shillings, to the tune of ksh1.2 billion, and sought to file criminal complaints against them. Samson Ontiri, a sugarcane farmer from Nyabera Village in Gucha Sub-county filed a case demanding millions in compensation from Sony Sugar in December 2017. However, unknown to many, Ontiri died on September 3, 2013 of heart disease at Tabaka Mission Hospital. This is one of the many cases that have been filed against the miller by rogue lawyers. Mwai Mureithi the deputy OCS of Lumakanda police station in Lugari Sub-county, Kakamega County, has died in a road accident along Eldoret – Webuye highway. Mureithi was being driven from Eldoret in an Administration Police ranger pick-up by a fellow AP officer identified as Corporal Bramwel Sarai who sustained serious injuries. On October 14, 2015, the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) and Greenstar Systems Limited signed an agreement for the refurbishment and customization of six floors of the KICC Tower Block Offices in readiness for the World Trade Organization Conference that was scheduled to be held in Nairobi, Kenya later that year. Kenyans who had sent their shipments in the past one month have been kept in the dark, as the corporation struggles to pay their international service provider, who have discontinued their services. An unofficial street car racing in Namanga border between Kenyans and Tanzanians turned tragic today, with eight people dying in a clash that involved two cars. Most of those who died were spectators. Scores were injured and taken to hospital. The accident involved two cars, one Kenyan and the other from Tanzania, which were destroyed beyond recovery. 24 foreigners, including 18 Ethiopians and 6 Eritreans, were arrested yesterday at Merti Su-county, Isiolo County being driven to Nairobi. The combined operation by security teams in the county was conducted after a tip off from the public.
