Barely four months since becoming an anchor tenant at the Kitengela Mall, Naivas has decided to close the branch due to under performance. The chain retailer says that the branch will be closed by the end of this month, and assets in the branch transferred to Lang’ata Branch at Freedom Height Mall. “We will be closing the Kitengela Mall branch in the next two weeks … We want to ensure we are more accessible and align to new store strategy,” said Naivas chief commercial officer Willy Kimani during an interview. The family of Kithome Malombe in Kitui county, Mutomo Sub-county, Ikanga location have been grieving the death of their daughter Lucia Kithome, for a year and three months now after her murder, and have refused to lay her to rest until justice is served. Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli has said that Kenyans need an urgent amendment to the constitution to reduce the burden they currently have. Former Cooperative Bank Chairman Stanley Muchiri has died. Muchiri died on Saturday night while in Abuja, Nigeria where he has been attending the Ministerial Conference of the International Co-operative Alliance, Africa (ICA-Africa) where he serves as President. Nyerians can now fly from Nyaribo Airstrip to Nairobi within 25 minutes after the launch of direct flights from Nyeri to Nairobi this weekend. Toyota has announced that it is recalling over 2.4 million hybrid cars over a fault that could cause crashes. This will affect Toyota’s Prius and its Auris hybrid models produced between October 2008 and November 2014, with over a million of the affected cars in Japan. Another 830,000 are in North America, 290,000 in Europe, 3,000 in China, and the rest in other parts of the world.
