This follows a partnership agreement signed between communications company Safaricom and a Kenyan leading lifestyle company, Deacons Kenya Limited. Orange has launched their new branded modems. The Huawei EC122 Modems have been branded with Orange Logos and will be used by the CDMA network clients. The Modems are more stylish and have better ergonomics and seems durable unlike the current ones which are prone to breakage. All CDMA modems are paired with RUIM cards and so you wont be able to change the modems while still using the same card but you can go to any Orange shop and they will sort you out.

After the Twitter launch of partnership where you can now send and receive tweets through Safaricom SMS, Safaricom immediately launched a promotion without sending a release or informing the media at the yesterday’s presser that you will be able to send and receive unlimited tweets in a day just by subscribing to the service. It will only cost you Ksh 10 per day. I just find the twitter SMS annoying but I know many who dont have smart phones and would like to enjoy tweeting.
