The thugs robbed the owner of Kariara Wholesalers, Elias Mureithi, after storming his wholesale shop at 9am, just few minutes after he opened the shop. The thugs ordered all to lie down before getting away with Sh70,000. Police were informed through the 999 dispatch line. They tracked the thugs to Karatina town killing four of them outside Brookfield High School along the Sagana-Karatina. Australian Police seems to have reached a complete dead end over the investigations in the Esther Arunga’s son death. The Queensland Police is now appealing to anyone who might have more information over the death to contact them through 1-800-333-000. Sex workers in Sonagachi (the largest red light area) area of India’s city of Kolkata (Calcutta) have been asked by a welfare NGO which protects the rights of the sex workers, not to offer their services to Africans following the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. According to Durbar Mahila Samanwaya Committee (DMSC), a forum of 130,000 sex workers in West Bengal, there are risks involved should the prostitutes come in contact with those infected with Ebola. A Ugandan murder suspect, Moses Muhangi, was last week arrested in Nairobi and then handed over to Ugandan police after being traced in the Kenyan city. After escaping to Kenya, Muhangi posted on his Facebook wall: “I know we are going be together soon because I have nothing more left, for I pray that our babies find peace and Joy in this world. Safaricom announced through its online handles that it was reducing the m-pesa transfer rates by 67%. That seems not to be the truth as it seems that Safaricom just did the opposite. The dominant operator has increased most of the rates (from Ksh 2500 transactions upwards) by a minimum of 67%. Some 5 Kenyans and one Tanzanian who who were charged with Moshi 2004 robbery have been jailed for 32 years each. Moshi Resident Magistrate’s Court found the six guilty of robbing the National Bank of Commerce (NBC) Moshi branch of the  of TSh5.3 billion (Ksh 281 million) on May 21, 2004. KQ has refused to suspend their flights to and from the West African nations which have suffered the impact of the Ebola Outbreak. The national airline has argued that it has the best measures in place to stop the spread but many travellers and now airlines are not convinced.
