A man and woman were admitted to the hospital with serious stab wounds in a failed murder and suicide mission in Kerugoya Town. The man had attacked and stabbed his former girlfriend outside the local Huduma Centre offices in an altercation on May 19. He then attempted suicide by stabbing himself in the chest and throat. Two minors were burnt to death in a fire incident in Buuri, Meru County. The incident happened in Mutethis area on a rental house on May 19. The mother of the girls aged two and had locked them, in the house and left for errands when the fire broke out. The fire burnt down the house killing the two children, police said. At least two men were shot and killed in an attack by gunmen in Gof Dertu Manyatta, North Horr, Marsabit County. This increased to four, the number of people who had been killed in the area on the same day, police said. Police said an unknown number of gunmen, attacked one manyatta within the area, which belonged a local Wayu community for unknown reasons. The incident happened on May 19. Four residents of Ngirimoiri Village in Kipkelion West Constituency were burnt following an explosion at an illegal changáa distillery. Police said they were all admitted to the Kericho County Hospital following the May 20 incident. A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of his father in a village in Kirinyaga County. The body of Samuel Oluoch, 35 was found hanging on a roof in the house of his wife on Tuesday May 20. The man had been away since last year.
