The Cabinet Tuesday approved the dualling of the 23.5 kilometers Muthaiga-Kiambu-Ndumberi road. This will among others help to ease congestion and improve mobility between Nairobi and Kiambu counties. The project will expand the existing two-lane highway into a dual carriageway, complete with bypasses, loops, and access roads to increase capacity and reduce travel times. It will also incorporate non-motorised transport lanes and commuter facilities to enhance road safety and accessibility. The Cabinet approved plans to implement the Nairobi National Park- Athi-Kapiti Wildlife Corridor. This will among others further the nation’s environmental and conservation priorities and secure critical migratory routes and dispersal areas vital for the survival of Kenya’s wildlife. A suicide attack outside a court in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad has killed 12 people and injured at least 27 more, the country’s interior minister said. Mohsin Naqvi said a bomber was planning to attack the district courthouse but was unable to get inside. An arrest warrant issued for Nigeria’s former oil minister Timipre Sylva by the country’s anti-corruption agency is politically motivated, his spokesperson has said. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused Sylva and others of diverting around $15m (£11m) of public funds intended for the construction of an oil refinery. A burglary suspect died after falling from a roof of a shop he and his accomplices were stealing in Kehancha, Migori County. Police said they responded to screams of a shop attendant who said four suspected thieves were in his shop after dismantling the roof on Monday.
