The Kenya Tea Growers Association (KTGA) Monday sounded an alarm over a series of rising land invasions and criminal activities targeting large-scale tea producer estates. The lobby singled out the ongoing Zimbabwe-like illegal land invasion of Sitoi Estate owned by Eastern Produce Kenya Limited (EPK) in Nandi County and the recent unlawful harvesting of trees at Sambret Estate in Kericho County. A body of a man aged about 45 was found on the roadside in Kamulu area, Nairobi. Police said they were called Saturday night and informed the body was lying at the scene and rushed there and confirmed the same. Two families are mourning after three children drowned in separate incidents in Laikipia and Busia Counties. The incidents involved children aged 11, eight and 2 respectively, police said. A hidden cross-border tunnel used to smuggle migrants and contraband between the US and Mexico will be sealed, Mexican border officials have said.
