The High Court has given former Interior CS Fred Matiangi, DCI and DPP seven days to file a consent and withdraw charges over his alleged home raid. The operations of Team Swat and two other Saccos whose matatus were involved in incidents over the last 30 days have been suspended by the National Transport Safety Authority (NTSA) board. Governors have threatened to shut down counties in 14 days over the delay of funds by the National Treasury. Addressing the media on Monday, Council of Governors chairperson Anne Waiguru said devolution is under threat by the national government. “The Council of Governors hereby issues a 14 days notice to shut down counties, if February, March, and April arrears are not released within two weeks,”  Waiguru said. Retail giant Naivas Supermarket has acknowledged a ransomware attack by an online criminal organization known as Threat Actor. In a statement on Sunday, Naivas Chief Commercial Officer Willy Kimani indicated that some of its data may have been compromised. A female staffer at a fast food joint in Kitengela has been fatally stabbed by an alleged lover. The Chicken Inn employee was stabbed by a male colleague with whom she is said to have been in a relationship. Police and witnesses said the incident took place on Friday night.
