A 52-year-old Briton died after being stung by a swarm of bees at her farm in Taita Taveta County. Police said Charalyn May De Wet was at her farm in Chumvini area on May 5, 2026 when she was attacked by the bees. She had toured their farm in the area and was returning home when she was attacked by the bees. Police are investigating claims a hotel owner was abducted by six armed men outside his premises in Pumwani, Nairobi, in the early hours of Thursday morning. According to witnesses, the incident occurred at around 3:00 a.m. outside Paradise Hotel, located opposite Pumwani Hospital.
