A sense of unease is slowly creeping in among employees at Kisumu County government’s Directorate and Enforcement Department after the contract of a former intelligence officer, who was seconded to the county, elapsed. Lillian Makenzie has accused the chairman of the board, Mustafa Idd, of massive nepotism after he married a fellow board member. Kakamega county chief-of-staff Robert Sumbi succumbed to Coronavirus on October 29 but is yet to be laid to rest. According to a local weekly publication, his wife, Sussy Nandama Sumbi is feuding with another woman believed to have been cohabitating with the deceased. Only one Mp attended Kiambu governor James Nyoro’s Interdenominational Prayers meeting, while others skipped the meeting without apology. Rev. Stephen Ng’ang’a, Bishop at African Independent Pentecostal Churches of Africa (AIPCA) who hosted Deputy President William Ruto in a chaotic Kenol fundraiser in Murang’a has died. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a manhunt for two suspects wanted over bank fraud offences.
