Search engine giant Google has chosen Nyeri as the location of one of its regional Loon ground stations. The deployment of Loon ground station in Nyeri is one of the key steps toward  the deployment of commercial service in collaboration with Telkom Kenya later this year. Kenya’s earnings from fresh produce exports in 2018 jumped to Ksh153.68 billion, a 33 per cent  increase over 2017 earnings, according to the statistics released by the Kenya Flower Council (KFC), Fresh Produce Exporters Association of Kenya (FPEAK), and Fresh Produce Consortium of Kenya (FPCK). Capital Markets Authority (CMA) through East Africa Data Handlers (EADH) has finished conducting forensic analysis of phone communications between Aly Khan Satchu, Kestrel Capital CEO (Andre De Simone), Kenol Kobil CEO David Ohana and their associates, concluding that the previous two engaged in insider trading of Kenol Kobil shares. The State Bank of Mauritius (SBM) is on the spot for a possible fraudulent takeover of the fallen Chase Bank and doctored figures. Just a month after acquisition, Chase Bank, now SBM Bank Kenya, the firm was able to lend Ksh4.7 billion to the parent company, SBM Holdings. In ordinary circumstances it is the parent company that lends money to a subsidiary, and not the other way round. Human rights lawyer Haroun Ndubi was arrested early Sunday morning by officers attached to Kilimani police station for driving while drunk and causing an accident. According to sources at the police station, the lawyer who is known to love the bottle beyond measure was arrested after an accident and being a risk to other road users.
