Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta has been replaced as the Jubilee Party leader. The EALA MP Kanini Kega-led faction on Tuesday replaced the former head of state with Nominated MP Sabina Chege. Pastor Paul Mackenzie has been re-arrested shortly after a Malindi Court closed a case against him. The suspected cult leader and his co-accused were nabbed outside the court and are set to be taken to Shanzu where they will face fresh charges. Police have arrested the wife of controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie. Rhoda Mumbua Maweu was apprehended at her home in Mtwapa alongside her aunt on Monday night. Police will not grant Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition party permission to hold protests on Tuesday. Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei on Sunday said the protests held by the opposition in March were nothing but peaceful. 101 belonging to the Kenyatta family have been recovered, the police have said.
