KCB Group Plc has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire DRC-based lender Trust Merchant Bank (TMB). The transaction is expected to close by the end of the third quarter of 2022, subject to regulatory, shareholders and other approvals. A 28-year-old man has been reported death after a metal oil tank he was offloading crushed him. The man identified as Harrison Nduku died in Nairobi’s Shauri Moyo Estate. Authorities report that he was among workers qho were offloading the tank at the Energy Petrol Station along General Waruinge Road. 40 people have been confirmed injured after the bus they were traveling in veered off the road in Bomet and landed in a ditch. Nairobi UDA Gubernatorial candidate has claimed that there is a plot to rig elections in favor of Azimio candidates. A manhunt is on for a 19-year-old defilement suspect who escaped from Industrial Area Prison on Wednesday morning. In details revealed by the DCI, the remandee, Erickson Khata is said to have escaped after being allowed to take a shower as the officer who was guarding him attended to other duties. The prisoner had been arrested and arraigned at Makadara law courts on July 19, for the offence of defilement contrary to section 8 of the sexual offences act. South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro has been involved in an accident although he escaped unhurt. In photos shared on social media, the vehicle the MP was traveling in got into an accident with a K Trans Matatu Sacco. DCI detectives have unearthed a puzzle where a firearm was snatched from a cop in 2019 and has been used to terrorize residents in Nairobi County. Police are probing an incident where a 52-year-old man collapsed and died after a night of merrymaking in lodging in Migori. According to the DCI, 52-year-old Naftali Nyandera checked into a lodge with a woman aged 24 years for a night of fun at Lavanda Lodgings.
