Kenya has recorded 551 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. This was after a sample size of 4,675 was tested. The country’s caseload is now at 84,169. The weatherman has warned that several parts of the country are set to experience below-average rainfall in December. The Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai has issued a warning against rogue boda boda riders following an incident where a motorist was assaulted. Through a tweet with the details of the video, Mutyambai termed the incident unfortunate adding that officers had been deployed to capture all the riders that assaulted the motorist. Kenya has announced 949 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours from a sample size of 8,311. The country’s caseload is now at 82,605. From the new cases, 913 are Kenyans while 36 are foreigners. 558 are males and 391 females. Chaos have erupted in Malaba town after police authorities who were enforcing CPOVID-19 rules allegedly killed a student. According to locals, Ezekiel Odera, a Form Two Student at Kolanya Boys Secondary School was shot by police on patrol and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. A bus accident that took place on Friday evening in Gilgil, Nakuru County has left 13 people nursing injuries. According to reports on social media, the bus was occupied by both children and adults who were traveling to Thika from a burial in Kangui, Ol Joro Orok, Nyandarua county. The orders halting the burial of Late Matungu MP Justus Murunga’s body have been lifted with the court ruling that his body would be released for burial on any other day convenient to the family.
