Detectives are probing an incident where the body of a second-year student from Strathmore University has been found dangling in a wardrobe in her hostel. The student, 21-year-old Nicole Chemutai Serem was found dangling in her wardrobe, with a scarf around her neck. 11 people have been confirmed dead in the Saturday night accident in Kanyonyo junction, Kitui County. Confirming the same, Kanyonyoo sub-location assistant chief Jacob Mueti said the accident happened at 11PM on Saturday night, involving a 14-seater matatu that lost control while attempting to overtake another vehicle and rolled several times. A Friday afternoon accident along the Narok-Bomet road involving a 14-seater matatu and a lorry has claimed five lives. A 50-year-old Kenyan man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing eight pedestrians in India. According to news sources in India, the man identified as John Menty used a knife to stab 8 pedestrians at Parsi Bawdi near Bombay High Court. Three suspected kidnappers have been arrested after demanding Sh100,000 from Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris. The three were holding Passari’s security guard hostage in Kibarage, Nairobi county since yesterday. Zimbabwe is set to deport six Kenyans who illegally gained entry into the country through South Africa.
