Four suspected thieves have been hacked to death while attempting to steal goats in Mithuthi-ini village, Kirinyaga county. Citizen reports that the suspected thieves were attacked after they were found stealing livestock. Apparently, they were notorious in the area and upon consultations, a trap was laid by the villagers and they fell right into it. Sleuths from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Sunday evening arrested three people said to indulge in fake fish supplements business around Roysambu, Nairobi area. Apparently, the trio is operating under a gang with pseudo identities including names and phone numbers where they lure victims and once the payments are made they shut down their phones and do not leave any traceable physical address. The Ministry of Health has confirmed the highest cases of COVID-19 as 389 have tested positive after 4,829 samples were tested within the last 24 hours. All the positive cases are Kenyans except 3 who are foreigners. The total number of positive cases in the country now stands at  7,577. Through a statement, the Health Ministry indicated that 88 more have been discharged from hospital bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,236. Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga has asked netizens to ignore reports alluding that the County offices termed as ‘White House’ has been constructed for Sh2 billion. Police authorities have arrested 35 minors engaged in sexual activities at a drug party in a rental property in Homa Bay. According to Star, the minors were found in a room at Sango Estate on Friday evening and constituted of 20 girls and 15 boys aged between 13 and 17 years. Rogers Ouma, the police officer found guilty of raping a woman who had gone to report a domestic violence case has been sentenced to life in prison. Before Principal Magistrate Allan Temba, Ouma was found guilty of rape and abuse of authority and his ruling had been set for today. Three men suspected to have robbed a man in broad Daylight in Kilimani will be detained until next week after they denied the charges. Migori Governor Okoth Obado appeared in court on Friday to testify in a case which a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) is accused of misleading police officers with false information that the governor had poisoned him. Yesterday, a COVID-19 patient escaped from Nandi Hills Sub-County Hospital while in handcuffs. According to K24, the man had been arrested for robbery with violence and while in custody at Tinderet Police Station, he was tested and found to have the deadly virus after 24 hours. Lamu Principal Magistrate Allan Temba has found a police officer, Rogers Ouma, guilty of rape and abuse of authority while on duty. Ouma has been found guilty of raping a 26-year-old woman in December 8, 2019 who had gone to report a case detailing domestic wrangles with her husband. Health CAS Rashid Aman has confirmed 268 more COVID-19 cases bringing the tally to 6,941 after 2,704 samples were tested within the last 24 hours. Mombasa Health CEC Dr Khadija Shikely has confirmed that 15 out of the 83 quarantined students who arrived on Sunday from Sudan have tested positive for COVID-19. The Prosecution team in the case involving two IT officers who were charged with taking videos of President Uhuru, Raila Odinga touring Nairobi CBD has been given one week to supply witness statements by the court. Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru is yet again embroiled in a dispute with Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) after accusing them of settling scores using the 2020/2021 budget.
