The Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji has filed a petition to revoke a court order granting the release of five vehicles belonging to former Sports CS Rashid Echesa. Through a petition filed at the High Court, Haji has indicated that the vehicles are being held in pursuant to Section 26(C) of the criminal procedure code. Machakos County government has refuted a report indicating that 4,000 school-going girls were impregnated in the last four months. Education CEC Lazarus Kivuya says it’s impossible that the high number of cases could have been recorded in just four months. “It’s impossible to have such a big number within the last few months. 6,000 paid internship positions have been announced by the government through the Public Service Commission of Kenya (PSCK) for various government ministries, departments and agencies. Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has announced an extension time for the operation of restaurants and eateries until 7:30 PM. Speaking during the daily COVID-19 briefings, Kagwe reiterated that the guidelines set up by the Ministry of Health are still in place even as the operation times are extended. The driver, identified as Samuel Kinyua Wangware aged 35 years from Mathira, Nyeri was reportedly found dead on Saturday inside the cabin of his truck.
